Job Summary

Grubb Properties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for handling all phases of maintenance related to the completion of work orders, preparation of apartments for occupancy, and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect and maintain all HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Apartment Preparation: Assist in preparing apartments for occupancy by painting, cleaning, and making necessary repairs.
  • Work Order Completion: Complete all work orders within a 24-hour time frame to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Pool Maintenance: Assist with the operation and maintenance of the pool and pool area, including proper chemical levels and maintenance of pool equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Share 24-hour emergency call duties with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure prompt response to maintenance emergencies.
  • Tool Maintenance: Keep all tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Reporting: Report any hazardous, emergency, or unusual situations that could potentially be a violation of company policy.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two to five years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Certifications: Must have HVAC certification and be willing to obtain a Certified Pool Operator license.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of heat pump, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry; good mechanical skills; good organizational skills; and a pleasing personality.
