POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere. This position involves overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources functions to ensure an exceptional customer journey and optimal profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluate sales data and key performance indicators to identify business requirements.
  • Set clear expectations for the team and ensure accountability for meeting established standards.
  • Manage payroll and supply budgets effectively.
  • Supervise operational tasks such as scheduling, inventory oversight, and merchandise management.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and inspire the sales team.
  • Educate and mentor the team on product knowledge and effective selling strategies.
Team Development:
  • Inspire and motivate the store team.
  • Encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Seek constructive feedback to enhance leadership capabilities.
Customer Engagement:
  • Exemplify outstanding customer service standards.
  • Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs.
  • Ensure swift resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Provide a quick and efficient checkout experience.
Talent Management:
  • Aid in the recruitment, hiring, and development of a high-performing team.
  • Support training initiatives and provide ongoing follow-up for all staff members.
  • Evaluate and coach team performance.
  • Promote employee engagement and acknowledge exceptional contributions.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in retail management.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent customer service aptitude.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Familiarity with retail operations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Continuous walking and standing.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing activities.
