We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Nurse to join our team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. As a Cardiology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our 28-bed adult cardiology unit.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with chest pain, unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction, rhythm disturbance, and heart failure/cardiomyopathy.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Must have Epic experience.
- Must adhere to UVAs float policy.
Nights, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13 weeks per year. Every other weekend, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
