As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide essential nursing care by executing assigned duties and ensuring quality care for our residents. You will adhere to established standards, regulations, and internal policies to maintain the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate and respectful care tailored to the individual needs of residents, honoring their rights to make informed decisions regarding their medical treatment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to gather and interpret information relevant to the age and health status of the residents.
  • Exhibit knowledge of growth, development, and adult health across the lifespan, completing necessary education as required.
  • Execute all scheduled and assigned tasks while continuously monitoring resident needs and delegating care components as appropriate.
  • Implement fundamental nursing care and assist residents with daily living activities.
  • Collect resident data accurately, utilizing technical skills under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
  • Make informed decisions reflecting nursing practice knowledge and sound judgment in clinical situations.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of diagnostic or therapeutic care for residents.
  • Ensure accountability in administering medications, observing, charting, and reporting effects of treatments in a safe and precise manner.
  • Administer medications in accordance with established policies and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Identify adverse reactions to medications and respond appropriately and promptly.
  • Adhere to policies regarding restraint application, documentation, and observation.
  • Involve residents and their families in developing personalized care plans.
  • Conduct pain assessments and notify the RN of any reports of discomfort, providing appropriate interventions as directed.
  • Document pain assessments, interventions, and follow-ups accurately.
  • Notify physicians regarding unrelieved pain as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and possess a valid license to practice in New Jersey.
  • Previous experience as an LPN is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all members of the healthcare team.
