About the Role

The University of North Texas System is seeking a highly skilled Academic Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our academic operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management of all aspects of student registration, records, budgeting, and scheduling for the Law School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Registration and Records: Oversee and coordinate student registration, records, and data management to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling: Develop and manage annual operating budgets and provide fiscal direction to staff. Plan, coordinate, and provide leadership in all aspects of the master curriculum offerings of the College of Law.
  • Student Support: Provide advice to students regarding graduation requirements, residency requirements, and time management requirements for graduation. Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Assistant Dean of Students to monitor student academic standing, probation, and suspension.
  • Grade Management: Manage the processing and recording of all student grades, processing of grade changes, and tabulation of academic and graduation honors listings.
  • Student Records Management: Establish and administer processes and procedures for student records management, archiving, and destruction, in accordance with established regulations, policies, and standards for maintenance, handling, and disposition of student and institutional records.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience: Six years of experience in higher education or a related field is required.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage and assess strategies, and competency in planning and executing strategies for services and operations in a college/university environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree and experience: A Master's degree and at least six years or more in student records, student affairs, or admissions is preferred.
  • Law School Registrar experience: At least 4 years of prior law school registrar experience is preferred.
  • Software skills: Intermediate skill level using Word, Excel, and Access is preferred.
  • Supervisory skills: Supervisory skills and experience is preferred.
