POSITION OVERVIEW
The Corporate Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the Senior Corporate Accountant and Corporate Accounting Manager in various facets of the organization's Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and Risk Management operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Compile, prepare, and distribute monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Execute financial statement processing tasks such as journal entries, adjustments, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities for a multi-ledger organization.
3. Monitor monthly performance metrics and assist in preparing budget-to-actual analyses and variance reports.4. Timely and accurately prepare all bank reconciliations.
5. Collaborate with the CFO and Corporate Accounting Manager to create quarterly presentations for the Board and develop supporting documentation.
6. Aid the Senior Corporate Accountant in formulating the annual corporate budget and quarterly forecasts.
7. Oversee fixed asset tracking and prepare necessary entries for depreciation and amortization.
8. Prepare audit documentation for the consolidated company audit.
9. Support the Corporate Accounting Controller in enhancing processes related to accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
10. Review and manage state and local business and occupation taxes.
11. Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
12. Assist in structuring entities within Yardi, including joint venture partnerships.
13. Review and approve invoices for accuracy in vendor details, remittance addresses, amounts, and general ledger coding.
14. Prepare the annual Personal Property Tax Listing for King County.
15. Maintain quarterly entity filings and assist in upholding the company's organizational structure.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient business writing skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years in accounting roles.
- Experience in commercial real estate is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with general ledger processes and the ability to understand and prepare basic financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Yardi is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Demonstrates professionalism and a positive, enthusiastic attitude in all work-related activities.
