Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Medical Oncology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include administering prescribed medications and treatments, observing and recording patient conditions, and advising physicians of any adverse reactions. You will also provide patient education and teaching under the direction of a physician, answer questions regarding diagnostic testing and treatment, and perform various other duties as indicated.

Key Responsibilities

Triage incoming telephone calls and respond to questions regarding medications and treatment instructions
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical nursing standards
Observe, record, and report patients' conditions and advise physicians of any adverse reactions
Provide patient education and teaching under the direction of a physician
Answer questions regarding diagnostic testing and treatment
Perform various other duties as indicated

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited registered nurse program or bachelors degree in nursing
State of Georgia licensure as a registered nurse required
