Business Office Associate

At CarMax, we're looking for a highly skilled Business Office Associate to join our team. As a key member of our business operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing paperwork, and managing multiple pay types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and explaining paperwork processes.
- Process paperwork associated with retail/wholesale automobile sales, including printing daily reports, maintaining deal jackets, and contacting finance companies.
- Manage multiple pay types, including receiving and counting money, distributing funds, and preparing deposits.
- Process auction sales, dealer registration, and/or appraisal lane purchases, including collecting titles, payoffs, and proper paperwork.
- Mentor new Business Office Associates and train other store departments on business office processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
- Use of resources and partnership to balance customer and business needs.
- Understanding of numeric filing systems and intermediate PC skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Lift objects weighing up to 15-20 lbs and speak and listen effectively with internal and external customers.
Work Environment:
- Pleasant, but noisy office environment.
- Numerous distractions and disruptions due to incoming communication.
- May require walking or standing for extended periods.
- Variety of work schedules with shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays.
