The Position/RoleThe Housekeeping and Laundry Manager is a crucial member of the Housekeeping and Laundry Team.This individual must possess a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality housekeeping service to ensure a seamless guest experience.
This role involves assisting in managing staff and overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department.Ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces meet the highest cleanliness standards while providing top-notch laundry services for guests.
Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant Manager Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations within the Housekeeping and Laundry Department and oversee all staff in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Housekeeping/Rooms Lead.
Ensure the utmost comfort, cleanliness, and safety for all guests, as expected in a Four Seasons Hotel.Effectively schedule staff and coordinate daily work assignments.
Manage departmental labor to maximize efficiency and productivity for the hotel.
Conduct interviews and provide training for staff. Hold team members accountable and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
Properly initiate the Department. Review night reports and prepare daily assignments for Room Attendants.
Prepare the daily rooms report before 9 A.M., submitting it to the Front Desk while noting any discrepancies.
Monitor daily assignments to ensure productivity and quality standards are met, supporting staff and addressing guest needs.
Ensure effective communication and follow-up on any issues, guest requests, or special requirements.Address guest complaints, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever feasible.
Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction, and well-being of hotel guests and employees.Conduct daily checks for maintenance issues and submit work orders for repairs through HOTSOS, following up or escalating to the Director of Engineering.
Inspect guest floors daily; check occupied and vacant suites; spot-check occupied rooms and inspect check-out rooms; verify all VIP and Special Attention rooms.
Ensure quality control of linens and uniforms - clean and adequately stocked.Conduct inspection rounds throughout the hotel to review production methods and procedures. Verify washing formulas, making corrections and improvements whenever possible.
Who You AreAt least 2+ years of management experience in housekeeping.
Bilingual
- Fluent in Spanish and English preferred (verbal and written).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Creates a motivating work environment.
Exhibits a high level of attention to detail.
Possess a valid driving license to operate golf carts and maintain a clean driving record.
Must be flexible with scheduling
- Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
