Role Overview:
The Lounge Bartender is tasked with the comprehensive setup of the bar area and the preparation of beverages for guests and staff. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and service quality of the bar, ensuring guest satisfaction and effective management of liquor inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a warm and welcoming demeanor consistently.
- Maintain attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy towards all guests, management, and fellow staff members.
- Prepare the bar in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring prompt and efficient service to guests.
- Craft beverages and cocktails following the hotel's mixing and presentation guidelines.
- Serve beverages to guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Disassemble the bar post-event, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment per hotel protocols.
- Adhere to all state liquor regulations.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel services and amenities.
- Comply with all hotel policies and safety regulations.
- Serve alcohol responsibly, ensuring care is taken to avoid issues with intoxicated patrons.
- Address guest concerns, complaints, and incidents effectively.
- Be familiar with fire exit routes and the operation of fire extinguishers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar and service areas throughout service.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Flexibility in work hours is required, with potential for long shifts. The role involves medium physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. The ability to stand for the entire shift is essential.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact with guests and staff in a friendly and service-oriented manner. The candidate must be adept at listening, understanding, and addressing concerns from both guests and colleagues.
Multitasking and prioritizing departmental tasks to meet deadlines is crucial. All interactions with guests and staff should be approached with attentiveness and courtesy.
Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag, is expected. The ability to handle problems proactively, including anticipating and resolving issues, is essential.
