Financial Analyst Job Description

Aptiv is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Global Product Organization. As a key member of our team, you will provide business insights to Finance Management and business oversight/guidance to Global Product's Managing Directors, VPs, and their respective teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the forecast and budgeting process, including analyzing variations from budget
  • Work closely with various competencies to analyze product financials
  • Proactively work with other competencies to achieve short-term and long-term financial targets
  • Perform risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions
  • Lead development of engineering business plan/budget and forecast, including improving process efficiencies by developing financial models and reporting dashboards
  • Support Global Product leadership team with financial modeling and analysis to drive short-term and long-term strategic investments
  • Assist Sr. Finance Director and Finance Manager in preparing financial charts and analysis to be prepared for monthly/quarterly business reviews with segment CFO
  • Provide guidance to project competencies to achieve key performance metrics
  • Maintain and understand key performance indicators
  • Support Ad Hoc reporting and analysis
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related
  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience required
  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow
  • Ability to create ad-hoc financial analysis and the generation of daily and monthly reports
  • Must be a local resident with ability to be present on site
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork & communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
  • Excellent use of MS Office and in particular Excel & PowerPoint
