Role Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the Finance team, reporting directly to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis. This role is pivotal in providing essential support for all Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities. The position is designed to offer a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility while ensuring collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze profitability, internal rate of return (IRR), or cash flow models for various contracts as required.
- Enhance and maintain financial models to accurately measure and forecast business performance, involving substantial quantitative analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver insights to management, collaborating with business unit leaders to design and update KPIs as necessary.
- Evaluate budget forecasts against actual results, identifying and analyzing significant variances.
- Convert business strategies and forecasts into comprehensive financial plans and projections, ensuring alignment with organizational targets and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Create business cases for capital investments and new initiatives.
- Lead and implement process improvements to promote continuous enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
- Engage with other FP&A team members and participate in various cross-departmental meetings, representing the FP&A function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning is essential.
- Strong analytical, organizational, quantitative, and strategic thinking skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities are crucial.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is essential.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently or collaboratively on special projects.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are required.
- An MBA degree is highly preferred.
