Job Summary

Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients and contributing to their safety and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs
  • Offer comfort care and other assistance to patients
  • Ensure safe and timely transfer of patients
  • Take vital signs and maintain accurate recordkeeping
  • Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements
  • BLS certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
  • Meet one of the following education qualifications:
    • 6 months of nursing assistant experience
    • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
    • Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire
    • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
    • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Shift Rotation: Day/Night Rotation

Hours Per Pay Period: 72

Compensation Range: $17.84 - $22.19 / hour

Union: St Josephs SEIU Local 113 (STJSEIU)

FTE: 0.9

Weekends: every other
