The Mechanical Engineering Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, paving the way for future business ventures. This position enhances profitability and broadens existing partnerships by promoting ICU Medical products and extending connections into new sectors with prospective clients. The Mechanical Engineering Specialist also offers limited post-sales implementation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve sales targets for ICU's market-leading disposable Infusion Therapy, Oncology, and Specialty products

· Exhibit exceptional presentation skills and possess in-depth technical knowledge of the ICU product line, ensuring effective communication with healthcare professionals

· Understand the competitive landscape, identifying strengths and weaknesses of rival products, and strategically position ICU Medical's offerings in clinical discussions. Serve as the clinical expert and consultative problem solver for clinical and supply chain contacts in the field.

· Familiarize yourself with the assigned territory, customer demographics, contracts, product offerings, and distribution strategies.

· Conduct product trials and oversee the implementation of all ICU products.

· Stay informed about the market and establish connections with clinicians through local professional chapters.

· Communicate effectively with management to align sales strategies with company and regional objectives.

· Participate in special projects as needed.

· Be prepared to work during weekends or evenings when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Self-driven, enthusiastic, and professional, capable of executing responsibilities with minimal oversight.

· Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with excellent presentation skills.

· Highly organized and adept at multitasking.

· Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Minimum Requirements

· Must be at least 18 years old.

· A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.

· A minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven success record, preferably in medical device sales, with established relationships in key regional health systems, and experience in needle-free infusion therapy products and services.

· Demonstrated history of meeting sales quotas and fostering growth within the territory, along with developing existing customer relationships within the supply chain.

· Compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, is essential to perform the primary functions of this role at customer sites.

Work Environment

· This position is field-based.

· Work may be conducted from a home office using standard office equipment, as well as on-site at customer locations.

· The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, depending on customer needs.

· A valid driver's license is required, and adherence to the Authorized Driver Policy is necessary for driving on behalf of the company.

· Travel is typically required more than 50% of the time.

This role is designed to be remote, with the incumbent eligible to work from any state except Colorado, California, Connecticut, Montana, Maine, or New York.
