We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Finance Specialist to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Response and Recovery Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting our agency's emergency operations center and incident management team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage budgets, track expenditures, and produce financial reports to ensure effective disaster response and recovery efforts.
• Review and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop protocols to enhance disaster response programs.
• Collaborate with the finance team to oversee disaster response-related expenditures and ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Design and implement tools to support tactical operating plans and procedures for the Statewide Medical Operations Center (SMOC).
• Assist with staffing plans, training, and needs assessments to determine requirements for purchasing goods or services.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies during disaster response and recovery efforts.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, auditing, and budgeting principles.
• Experience with software systems, communication tools, and emergency management frameworks such as NIMS and the National Response Framework.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment and adapt to changing priorities.
