Assistant Professor Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our team at the University of Georgia's Griffin Campus. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our research and teaching programs in turfgrass breeding.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and teaching in turfgrass breeding, with a focus on developing new cultivars and improving existing ones.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences to advance our understanding of turfgrass science and its applications.
- Develop and teach courses in turfgrass breeding and related topics, as well as mentor students in research projects.
- Engage with industry partners and stakeholders to promote the adoption of new turfgrass technologies and practices.
The Department of Crop and Soil Sciences is a leading research and teaching unit at the University of Georgia, with a strong focus on crop and soil sciences, turfgrass science, and environmental management. Requirements- Ph.D. in turfgrass breeding or a related field.
- Experience in research and teaching in turfgrass breeding or a related field.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and industry partners.
