Assistant Professor of Family Nurse Practitioner

Augusta University College of Nursing is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The successful candidate will engage in didactic teaching, course coordination, and evaluation, as well as participate in curricular development and evaluation. The position is not considered to be on tenure track.
Responsibilities- Teach DNP core and/or concentration courses
- Coordinate and evaluate courses
- Partner with preceptors for student learning and evaluation
- Participate in curricular development and evaluation
- Participate on College of Nursing and university committees
- Mentor students in DNP projects
- Engage in scholarly activities (presentations and publications)
- Doctorate degree relevant to the area of practice (PhD, DNP)
- Active licensure to practice nursing in the state of Georgia or meet all eligibility requirements to apply for a nursing license in the state of Georgia
- National Board Certification in area of specialty (FNP)
- Assistant Professor: Early level career as a faculty member
- Associate Professor: Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
