Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at MUSC Health & Medical University of SC. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level, utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective care to patients, interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
  • Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Direct and lead other assigned team members, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
  • Provide patient/family-centered care, focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs of patients.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and working in a latex-safe environment.
  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes, and perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
