Position Overview:

As a Marine Piping Specialist, you will utilize your skills in layout and assembly to ensure the integrity of piping systems on naval vessels.

Your responsibilities will include the installation and maintenance of various piping systems, including those for steam, power, hydraulics, and water.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute pipe welding tasks to 6G standards.
  • Assemble and fit components into complete systems, ensuring precise dimensions and alignment.
  • Collaborate with team members on significant project segments.
  • Communicate with the Production Manager regarding overtime requirements to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on completed assemblies and welds.
  • Design and create jigs and fixtures to enhance production quality.
  • Plan and layout piping systems according to blueprints, considering specifications and potential obstructions.
  • Measure, cut, and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for piping installation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in pipe bending and shaping, along with proficiency in operating machinery for cutting and threading pipes.
  • Perform hydrostatic or equivalent pressure tests to verify system integrity post-installation or repair.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of various piping materials suitable for installations based on technical drawings.
