Job Summary

ASM Global is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager/HRD to oversee the financial and human resources operations of SAVOR...Omaha at Baxter Arena. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as overseeing human resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain internal controls and compliance in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Review and sign off bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and other analyses as needed.
• Create, maintain, and manage budgeting and forecasting, including operating budget, monthly forecasting, capital budget, and cash flow analysis.
• Complete/Supervise the process of recording manual journal entries and oversee various finance-related processes (fixed assets, payroll, etc.) to ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
• Review and sign off financial statements, budget reports, and event flash reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work with outside auditors to complete the annual audit and issue audited financial statements.
• Prepare other financial reports and analyses as requested.
• Manage the facility's cash flow needs, investing idle funds while maintaining a minimum operating account balance to fund operations.
• Manage all Payroll, Accounts Payable, & Accounts Receivable functions.

Human Resources Responsibilities

• Follows ASM GLOBAL Human Resources policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
• Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all facility personnel.
• Performs recruitment activities, including writing and placing advertisements, recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selecting employees to fill vacant positions.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientations.
• Keeps records of benefits plans participation, such as insurance and 401k, personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
• Coordinates training or trains Managers in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance management, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Advises the corporate office of EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers Affirmative Action Plan.
• Administers performance review and salary administration program.
• Administers benefits programs, such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
• Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

Requirements

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance from 4-year college/university or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience.
• Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures as well as financial systems and controls.
• Capable of handling all aspects of the accounting cycle and principles and techniques of venue operation.
• Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in the facilities/arena management industry (Preferred not Required).
