Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Operations Manager to join our team at KJ's Market. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of our produce and floral department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the produce and floral department, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving produce and floral products, to ensure that we have the right products in stock at the right time.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of produce and floral staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their performance goals.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of the produce and floral department, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all produce and floral products meet our high standards for quality and freshness.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all produce and floral operations are in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as any relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. business, agriculture) preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in produce or floral operations, including management experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of produce and floral operations, including inventory management and quality control.
