Position Responsibilities:

  • Integration of Mine Control with Underground Operations:
    Enhance control, coordination, and communication systems to integrate Mine Control into underground operations and emergency response.
  • Management of Mine Control and Production Monitoring:
    Supervise Mine Control staffing and monitor production databases, identifying trends in daily metrics and productivity.
  • Short-Term Control of Underground Personnel and Equipment:
    Utilize systems to assess real-time variations in the Mine Schedule and adjust daily plans accordingly, coordinating with supervisors.
  • Monitoring of Underground Installations:
    Oversee mine conditions and fixed plant installations, ensuring prompt escalation of alarms as per protocols.
  • Review of Equipment Utilization and Asset Management:
    Conduct reviews of equipment usage and mining metrics, issuing shift reports based on data analysis.
  • Engineering and Execution of Underground Work:
    Plan and execute underground tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency in achieving mining objectives.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare comprehensive reports on projects, communicating findings to stakeholders and seeking opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising safety or quality.
  • Additional Duties:
    Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors or department managers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage project-related disputes and deliver results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative approach with a focus on building relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments.
  • Experience engaging with external consultants and contractors.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated leader capable of working independently.
  • Proficient in software applications relevant to mining operations.
  • Knowledge of mining cycles and data management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the mining sector, preferably in operational and engineering roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
