Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on underground equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
- Perform repairs on underground equipment, including welding, machining, and other skilled trades.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of our mines.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- On-the-job experience in underground maintenance and repair.
- Vocational training in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or a related trade.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with other team members and management.
- Work in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
- Wear personal protective equipment when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
