Job Overview
MISSION: Our goal is to deliver a comprehensive shopping experience for our customers, offering an extensive range of quality home furnishings at competitive prices, while also enhancing the lives of our employees and the communities we serve.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service by leveraging a thorough understanding of our product offerings. It is essential to foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere by greeting and acknowledging every customer and colleague. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management as needed.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries and concerns.
- Assist customers, sales personnel, and delivery teams with their purchases.
- Handle inbound calls and engage in face-to-face interactions with customers regarding warranties and returns.
- Order parts for missing hardware and replacement items.
- Follow up with the factory on outstanding service orders to provide status updates.
- Manage non-sellable reports to resolve items pending parts.
- Collaborate with sales associates to surpass customer service expectations.
- Organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Maintain a tidy office environment by ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- File daily invoices and perform other duties as directed by management.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Candidates should demonstrate the ability to repetitively use their arms, hands, and fingers, and communicate effectively with team members. A positive attitude when interacting with customers is essential. Previous customer service experience is preferred, along with knowledge of merchandise handling procedures.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully fulfill the essential functions of this position, employees must be capable of performing the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, listening, and repetitive motions. This role may involve lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Work Environment: The position is situated in a climate-controlled indoor environment.
