Job Overview

Primary Objective: To manage reservations for the dining establishment and ensure a warm welcome for guests upon arrival.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain awareness of the current guest count, notable visitors, and events to deliver tailored service.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service, whether in person or via phone, including handling reservations, greeting guests, and managing takeout orders.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and upcoming events to assist guests effectively.
  • Update daily menu specials and ensure proper storage at the end of each shift.
  • Oversee the seating arrangement to facilitate seamless service.
  • Ensure tables are prepared according to reservation requirements.
  • Communicate server assignments and responsibilities clearly.
  • Adhere to established procedures for processing credit and gift card transactions.
  • Follow all departmental policies and procedures at Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Report any suspicious activities or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas consistently.
  • Practice safe working habits to prevent injuries.
  • Comply with safety regulations and proper equipment handling.
  • Attend all required meetings as instructed.
  • Perform additional tasks and cross-training as needed.

Qualifications:
Education + Knowledge: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in English is essential. Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred. Familiarity with proper seating etiquette and business phone manners is necessary.

Skills: Attention to detail, organized, efficient, quick learner, safety-conscious, high standards for service quality, diplomatic, calm demeanor, strong verbal communication skills, friendly and professional attitude, effective team player, customer service-oriented, able to work independently, trustworthy, and reliable.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capable of working effectively under pressure. Frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Regular use of phones is required.
