Operations Management Coordinator
The University of Maryland, Baltimore's (UMB) Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science (PTRS) within the School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Operations Management Coordinator.

This role is essential in facilitating the department's daily operational functions, which encompass payroll management, financial planning and reporting, research administration, and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Enhance the efficiency of daily departmental operations across Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, Research Administration, and Finance.
2. Oversee payroll functions, including the analysis of accounting data and effort logs, tracking payroll modifications, and ensuring compliance with timesheet regulations.
3. Conduct payroll reconciliations through detailed audits and analyses.
4. Address human resource requirements by managing contract processes, onboarding new staff, and offboarding departing employees.
5. Manage accounts receivable and payable, including procurement card transactions, expense reimbursements, and invoice processing.
6. Provide comprehensive research administration support, including budget development for pre-award activities and project budget reconciliation for post-award activities.
7. Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accurate recording of financial data.
8. Cultivate and maintain vendor relationships to facilitate purchasing needs.
9. Maintain accurate records for corporate purchasing cards and reconcile monthly expenses.
10. Act as the department's parking liaison, managing parking vouchers and reconciling monthly records.
11. Offer guidance and mentorship to junior staff in operational processes, sharing knowledge and best practices.
12. Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant business experience, including at least one (1) year in two or more of the following areas: accounting, finance, payroll, procurement, or research administration. Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is preferred.
