Position Overview:
Colwen Hotels is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk Supervisor to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the front desk and night audit teams, ensuring exceptional guest and associate satisfaction. Ideal candidates will possess prior front desk experience, a strong commitment to customer service, and the capability to mentor and develop our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment and effective supervision of front office staff.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of team members to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes, verify billing, create reservations, and accommodate special requests.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Foster and maintain open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and hotel management.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State Labor laws.
  • Address and resolve any complaints regarding service or accommodations.
  • Monitor budgets and payroll records, reviewing financial transactions for appropriateness.
  • Continuously analyze processes for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Coach and support the front office team in managing occupancy, guest service, and controllable expenses.
  • Identify service issues and trends, facilitating creative solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Balance cost management with outstanding guest service and associate satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict key control and uphold safety and security standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent experience in hospitality.
  • Prior experience with OnQ is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Dependable, with the capacity to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with common software applications.
  • Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
