Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Nitelines USA, Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert medication management services to our patients. This includes dispensing medications, conducting quality assurance activities, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense medications in accordance with proper procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the integrity of medications and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective use of medications.
  • Perform kinetic calculations and make recommendations as necessary.
  • Compound or check extemporaneous preparations as required.
  • Prepare, check, and edit physician orders for parenteral products.
  • Review pharmacy interventions with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medical record documentation and prescriptions.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities regarding medications and parenteral fluids.
  • Perform monthly narcotic audits and report medication variances.
  • Advise staff on pharmaceutical matters, including proper dosages, toxicity, precautions, alternative medications, and current new drugs.
  • Perform studies and/or audits at the discretion of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
  • Provide patient and staff education on pharmaceutical matters.
  • Serve as the drug information specialist and provide literature for medical staff as requested.
  • Perform counseling services regarding medications to patients.
  • Supply nursing and medical staff with medication information as indicated.
  • Document all clinical encounters using the Bureau of Prisons Electronic Medical Record.
  • Review all ordered tests and procedures within 24 hours of receiving results or the next business day.
  • Administer medication as prescribed.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • RPh or PharmD Degree with a minimum of one year of experience within the past 24 months is preferred.
  • Experience can include Residency.
  • Must possess an unrestricted state licensure.
  • Hold current certification in one of the following: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient contact. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
