At Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, we are seeking a skilled Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Ft. Washington Construction Management Team. This role will involve working on various highway and bridge projects throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret plans, site layouts, and specifications to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
- Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
- Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades, and/or pavement.
- Gather and maintain record documents.
- Makes field notes and computations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of construction inspection experience.
- Active driver's license.
- Computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET Level 1 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction.
- NECEPT-Bituminous and Concrete Field Technician.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician.
- CDS NeXtGen and/or ECMS Wave 5.
Working Conditions:
The work is performed in the field, and the ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
