Job Overview:
We are looking for a full-time Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our Crisis Response team. This role involves delivering intervention services as part of a community-based crisis response unit, assisting clients and families in need.

The specialist will conduct psycho-social risk assessments during crisis situations, provide crisis intervention services, and collaborate with law enforcement, judicial systems, educational institutions, and various community organizations.


Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week. The schedule will include a combination of first and mid shifts, with hours ranging from 7am to 8pm, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
  • Licensed or eligible for limited licensure as a bachelor's social worker in the State of Michigan, with the expectation to obtain licensure within three months of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for job-related duties.
  • Strong understanding of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment practices.
  • Knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
  • Proficient in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and bridge language/cultural barriers to services.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Personal experiences with mental health issues, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are valued.
  • Full licensure as a bachelor's social worker in Michigan.
  • One year of experience in community-based crisis intervention.
  • Three years of post-undergraduate experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
