Network180 is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals in our community by providing essential behavioral health services. We are the primary organization in Kent County for mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and services for developmental disabilities.

Role Summary:
We are in search of a passionate Crisis Intervention Specialist (BSW) to deliver crisis intervention, conduct screenings, and facilitate referrals to behavioral health services for both adults and children. The specialist will engage with individuals experiencing crises and those with substance use challenges, performing assessments on a walk-in basis. Interactions may occur in various environments and through face-to-face or telehealth methods (video or telephone).

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM, with occasional weekend duties, on-call responsibilities, and holiday shifts. This role is based in an office setting.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
  • Licensure in Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed bachelor's social worker, or eligibility for limited licensure with the requirement to obtain it within three months of hire.
  • Strong understanding of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis principles.
  • Knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for job-related tasks.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations with composure.
  • Capability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting and bridge language/cultural barriers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Personal experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are valued.
  • Full licensure in Michigan as a licensed bachelor's social worker.
