Position Overview: Auditor I at Ameren Services

The Auditor I position is vital in partnering with various management levels to execute audits that emphasize the Company's adherence to regulations, operational effectiveness, and project evaluations. By scrutinizing business processes, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies, the Auditor I plays a key role in bolstering the organization's governance and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform financial and operational assessments to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations
  • Identify and analyze business, regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational risks
  • Assist in the evaluation of processes and controls related to business initiatives and special projects
  • Support risk assessment efforts and collaborate with external audit firms

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Relevant experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, business risk assessment, data analytics, and public accounting is essential. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE are preferred, or candidates should demonstrate the ability to obtain these certifications within a designated timeframe. Familiarity with internal auditing standards is also highly regarded.
