Position Overview
We are looking for an eDiscovery Legal Assistant to enhance our legal team.

This role presents a unique chance to engage in a variety of labor and employment legal matters, providing essential support to our attorneys.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of relevant experience and a comprehensive understanding of labor and employment law.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing and filing legal documents and correspondence related to labor and employment cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on pertinent laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Organize and maintain documents in both paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Manage case files and documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and readily accessible.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and meetings, taking notes and providing necessary documentation to attorneys.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, and pleadings under attorney supervision.
  • Maintain attorneys' calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and outside counsel as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally in labor and employment law.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting legal research and preparing legal documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and principles.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
