Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Counselor/Employment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Career Services department, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities achieve their employment goals and maintain meaningful, sustained employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with funders and stakeholders to develop and implement employment plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Conduct vocational assessments and provide job coaching to help individuals develop the skills and confidence needed to secure and maintain employment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities and promote the value of hiring individuals with disabilities.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to individuals in their employment journey, including resume development, interview preparation, and job placement assistance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a vocational rehabilitation or employment services setting.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
