Position Overview

The Human Resources Specialist is tasked with delivering comprehensive daily and project-based HR assistance. This position acts as a key resource for Supply Chain personnel at Fortune Brands Innovations, addressing general HR inquiries and providing tactical HR support. Responsibilities encompass operational assistance in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, communication, engagement, and adherence to HR policies and procedures.

This role supports a hybrid work model, with specific onsite and remote workdays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Supply Chain personnel regarding HR inquiries, collaborating with HR Business Partners to resolve issues.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into Fortune Brands Innovations.
  • Assist in managing the performance evaluation process for supply chain teams and across the organization.
  • Craft communications and announcements, employing innovative methods to convey essential talent messages.
  • Act as the HR representative for the supply chain office engagement committee, participating in events and driving cultural initiatives.
  • Support HR Business Partners and HR Managers with daily HR operations, including responding to employee inquiries and conducting exit interviews.
  • Assist with regular HR functions such as merit and bonus evaluations, employee engagement surveys, and more.
  • Coordinate employee changes in HR systems in collaboration with various HR team members.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and sessions.
  • Manage projects as part of broader HR initiatives, including process mapping and data collection.
  • Engage in additional HR and ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in HR or a related field) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR setting. HR Generalist experience is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Prior experience with HR systems, particularly Workday, is advantageous.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Creative and independent thinker.
  • Adaptable to change and flexible in approach.
  • Effective prioritization skills to meet ongoing responsibilities and achieve broader objectives.
