Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to maintain accurate operation records and prepare daily reports, ensuring seamless communication with the Store Auditing Team.
  • Review shift reports completed by Sales Associates, ensuring all reports and funds reconcile and balance according to company policy, and provide proper training in cash out/shift reporting procedures.
  • Perform routine inventory counts for cigarettes, lottery tickets, and other items as required, maintaining accurate records and ensuring minimal inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure consistent high-level merchandising of store products and attractive presentation of store facilities, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Maintain awareness of monthly promotions, sale merchandise, and advertisements, communicating them effectively to the entire staff and ensuring timely updates on internal and external signage and POS displays.
  • Ensure all product promotions are accurately presented, and vendor product signs and displays are maintained, updating exterior promotional signs, banners, and other display/marketing materials as needed.
  • Monitor gas pricing for designated area competition, reporting pricing to corporate as necessary, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
  • Work with the Store Manager to properly staff the store on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demands.
  • Address and document employee performance issues, ensuring all documentation is forwarded to Human Resources for accurate and up-to-date employee files.
  • Comply with and enforce all safety, security, environmental regulations, emergency operation procedures, company policies, procedures, and guidelines, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Ensure the facility is always maintained in a clean, orderly, and presentable manner, adhering to company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by creating and maintaining a customer-centric atmosphere, addressing customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; management experience preferred.
  • Basic computer/systems literacy, including proficiency in Back Office System, Word, and email.
  • ServSafe food service certification may be required for certain locations.
  • Ability to be on call when acting Store Manager.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to resolve employee conflicts or customer complaints as they arise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates, upper management, and guests.
