Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Education Leader to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Providence. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to lead our Child Care Program and make a positive impact on the lives of young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a high-quality, well-rounded curriculum in accordance with YMCA guidelines and State Licensing requirements.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff regularly, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional care and education for children.
  • Collaborate with the Child Care Director to implement program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, reporting any incidents or accidents as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to child abuse prevention and first aid.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood development.
Requirements:
  • R.I. Certificate in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three months supervised teaching experience.
  • Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification within two months of employment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
