Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Equipment Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and setting up medical equipment in patients' homes, long-term care settings, clinics, or other locations deemed necessary to service patients. This is a direct hire role that requires a clear driving record and the ability to enter clients' homes to set up home health equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes, long-term care settings, clinics, or other locations deemed necessary to service patients.
  • Provide education to customers on the proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment in a home setting.
  • Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery, or pickups as required.
  • Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
  • Process all orders in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
  • Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products, and services.
  • Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company policies.
  • Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to customers.
  • Safely drive and maintain company vehicles.
  • Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for patient care.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with company policies.
  • Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current home medical equipment products and services offered by the company.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
  • Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Experience level: Experienced.
