Job Title: Medical Records Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team at PruittHealth. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain medical records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Retrieve, sort, scan, and assemble paper or electronic medical records
  • Ensure records are continuously updated and compliant with agency standard operating procedures
  • Screen telephone calls for non-clinical issues and assist clinicians with call disposition
  • Process signed orders and fax approved orders to physicians for signature
  • Review and audit medical records for accuracy and completeness
  • Purge and archive medical records as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • None; on-the-job training provided
  • Preferred qualifications: one year working in a medical office environment, experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB), industry certification related to medical records processing
