Background Information

The Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) aims to enhance the knowledge and practices of Security Cooperation through the education, training, and development of the U.S. Security Cooperation workforce, alongside the education and institutional capacity building of partner nations. This includes producing research, analysis, and lessons learned that enrich the intellectual foundations of Security Cooperation.

In partnership with DSCU, Dexis is currently seeking Security Cooperation Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in the planning and execution of institutional capacity building (ICB) initiatives with emerging partner nations. These engagements will typically focus on short-term technical assistance, tailored to the specific needs of each country and aligned with mutually agreed objectives. Responsibilities may also encompass curriculum development, exercise design, and workshop facilitation, with potential travel required.

We are calling for CVs from Security Cooperation experts with experience in various relevant areas, including:

  • International legal studies, particularly in defense and military law
  • Security Governance

  • Professional Military Education
  • Partner Nation Institutional Capacity Building

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant subject matter
  • Proficiency in producing high-quality reports in English
  • Experience in providing detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements and optimization
  • Background in working with high-level officials
  • Experience within the Department of Defense (DOD)
  • Familiarity with security cooperation initiatives
  • Possession of a minimum DOD secret clearance
