This role is situated in Orlando, FL and may involve up to 10% domestic travel.
The position requires a significant on-site presence due to integration lab responsibilities, particularly during development phases and hardware integration tasks.
We are seeking a skilled FPGA design and verification engineer for a missile program focused on safety applications.
The primary duty will involve developing SystemVerilog source code and simulations for safety-critical electronic devices.
The selected candidate will work autonomously while collaborating with a larger electrical engineering team to devise electronic solutions in an Agile framework.
This design engineer will also coordinate with system safety engineering and participate in safety board meetings to ensure compliance with government safety standards.
Utilizing multiple related programs within the organization will enhance the provision of essential technologies and tools.
The individual will be expected to effectively communicate technical statuses and issues to both internal program leadership and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog design and self-checking test bench development
- Experience in electrical engineering design within weapon development programs
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
- Aptitude for working under consultative direction towards established long-term goals.
Security requirements:
- Must possess an active Secret clearance
Desired skills:
- Extensive electrical engineering experience in weapon development
- Familiarity with UVM Testbench methodologies
- Experience in safety-critical design practices
- Knowledge of electrical design utilizing Agile methodologies
