Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate First Grade Teacher to join our team at DREAM. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues to drive student success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Common Core-aligned curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning community.
- Work collaboratively with the grade team, leadership team, and student support team to analyze data and inform instruction.
- Track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted interventions to support student growth.
- Participate in regular meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning to stay up-to-date on best practices and research-based strategies.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to ensure a smooth and successful school year.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful school culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- New York State certification in subject area preferred.
- At least two years of teaching experience with a record of improving student achievement preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- A commitment to working with diverse populations of families and students.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $76,000 to $93,000 per year for incoming teachers with a Master's degree, and $67,000 to $87,000 per year for incoming teachers with a Bachelor's degree. Teachers are eligible for annual performance-based salary increases based on our Teacher Career Pathways.
