BCG Platinion's Global Reach

BCG Platinion, launched in Germany in 2000, was created to enhance the Boston Consulting Group's existing capabilities with deep technical expertise. Our presence now spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and both South and North America. Our North American team, based in New York, began in 2014 and expanded its capabilities in technology and design by acquiring MAYA Design, a digital design and innovation lab located in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Solutions Architect at BCG Platinion, you will:

  • Serve as a Technical Expert : You will leverage your extensive IT knowledge to develop innovative solutions grounded in complexity.
  • Navigate Ambiguity : You will confidently tackle undefined paths and work through uncertainty.
  • Act as a Change Agent : You will facilitate organizational change by aligning and onboarding teams to implement new processes and tools, optimizing IT best practices.
  • Advocate for Agile Methodologies : You will utilize your expertise in agile practices to strategically address challenges and drive change.
  • Collaborate Effectively : You will engage with interdisciplinary teams and establish relationships across various stakeholder groups.
  • Innovate : You will apply your deep IT architecture knowledge to create forward-thinking design patterns for next-generation technology solutions.
  • Provide Knowledge and Guidance : You will act as a resource on teams, contributing both as a hands-on practitioner and a subject matter expert in IT architecture.

Your Expertise Includes:

  • Solution and application architecture, evaluating alternative approaches
  • Restructuring IT processes and organizations
  • Supporting IT functions during mergers and acquisitions, including functional and technical transformations
  • Evaluating and implementing IT architectures
  • Assessing and reviewing technical architecture and code
  • Analyzing complex IT application landscapes for optimization
  • Contributing to BCG Platinion's consulting business through proposal writing and project scoping
Qualifications
You Will Bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, computer science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Over 4 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in an architecture role
  • Strong technical knowledge and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in explaining complex technology topics to executives
  • Extensive expertise in various technology stacks, cloud-native applications, and integration methodologies
  • Experience with agile engineering and tooling support
  • A willingness to travel to collaborate with clients and BCG teams as needed
