Relationship Manager Job Description

ADP is seeking a skilled Relationship Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a book of business of Group Health Insurance clients. Your primary goal will be to manage an assigned book of clients, providing expert guidance and support to ensure exceptional client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the client's primary contact, serving as a liaison and internal client advocate.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of your dedicated client's group health portfolio and other ADP services, coordinating communication among various business partners.
  • Collaborate with other ADP partners, including Product Management, Implementation, Payroll, Sales, and more, to ensure seamless client experiences.
  • Provide proactive, personalized, strategic support and act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
  • Manage benefit renewals, support Open Enrollment, and prepare quote proposals and benefit guides.
  • Assist clients in designing and implementing their employee benefits programs, including group health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and other ancillary coverages.
  • Handle all aspects of benefits renewals, including negotiating with carriers to secure the best rates and terms for clients.
  • Conduct virtual meetings with clients to review their benefits plans and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
  • Resolve benefit service issues, such as enrollments, carrier billing, coverage, and claims.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, benefits plans, and compliance documentation.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of related insurance experience.
  • Life and Health Insurance Producer License.
  • A college degree is great, but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous insurance industry experience with a brokerage or agency environment.
  • Experience with Benefits Administration platforms: Ease, Employee Navigator, Flock.
  • Experience with insurance quoting platforms: Zywave.
  • Relationship/account management experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing client relationships with multiple products.
  • Extensive experience building relationships and understanding a client's needs.
  • Prior experience managing service recovery.
  • Expert knowledge of ADP's infrastructure and ADP's traditional and new product/services in business processing and outsourcing.
