Position Summary

The Assistant Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing custodial operations under the Fort Carson custodial contract. This position involves supervising staff, ensuring the availability of cleaning supplies and equipment, and providing transportation and oversight. The Assistant Project Manager collaborates closely with co-workers and individuals served, fostering an environment of teamwork and support.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct custodial staff, including individuals served.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of custodial experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • One year of supervisory or managerial experience is required.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screenings.
  • Must demonstrate independence, flexibility, and effective communication skills.
Skills and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of algebra and geometry; ability to perform calculations related to discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
Work Environment
  • Position involves exposure to outdoor conditions, fumes, chemicals, and moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Demands
  • Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
  • Regular vision, hearing, and mobility requirements, with occasional climbing and crawling.
