About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety to join our team at Limbach Facility Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective environmental, health, and safety strategies that align with our company's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Hearts & Minds safety culture initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate environmental, health, and safety services with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strategies to prevent incidents, injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
  • Anticipate and respond to emerging industry trends and best practices, translating this knowledge into business strategy.
  • Design and implement effective control systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and manage company-specific benchmarks, KPIs, and dashboards to measure progress towards strategic goals.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts, creating and deploying specific change management plans to effectively manage resistance.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships and influence within the organization to integrate EHS objectives into operational focuses.
  • Foster collaboration across regions, promoting the exchange of information, consistency, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing environmental, occupational, and industrial health, and safety programs.
  • Prior work experience in a highly safety-sensitive environment, such as construction.
  • Demonstrated leadership within a decentralized, matrix environment.
  • Strong record of building a proactive, integrated safety culture.
  • Desire and ability to connect at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience creating a strong EHS compliance framework.
  • Experience in identifying, defining, and actualizing organization-wide objectives in a practical, measurable way with defined results required.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching leaders and the ability to influence behavior and culture across the organization.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and excel in a complex environment.
  • Proactively stays abreast of changing industry trends and best practices, translating this intel into business strategy.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Recognized certificates, such as NEBOSH.
  • Evidenced training/expertise in the broader spectrum of EHS&S topics.
  • Expert-level knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
