  • Assist with menu planning and preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and that menu items are consistently available.
  • Manage inventory and ordering, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are stocked and that waste is minimized.
  • Train and develop junior kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, other kitchen staff, and front-of-house team, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and are working together effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring that all food is prepared and stored safely and that all kitchen staff are aware of their responsibilities in this area.
  • Assist with special events and functions, ensuring that all kitchen staff are aware of their responsibilities and are working together effectively to deliver high-quality food and service.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff, front-of-house staff, and management, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, with a strong focus on maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
