Position Overview

Role Summary

The Audiovisual Program Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team focused on programming, system design, integration, and project oversight. This position entails centralized coordination of audiovisual projects, resource management, contractor oversight, and quality assurance/control to guarantee the effective delivery of audiovisual services across various settings, including classrooms, lecture halls, and event venues. Strong leadership, technical acumen, and organizational capabilities are crucial for maintaining excellence and efficiency in our audiovisual operations.

Essential Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in audiovisual project management and operations, including supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Experience in developing scopes of work, project timelines, risk assessments, resource allocation, and other project documentation.
  • Technical expertise in audiovisual systems, equipment, and software, with practical experience in installation, setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment while ensuring budget compliance and proactive risk management.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to audiovisual operations, safety, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software tools relevant to audiovisual operations, including AV control systems, video/audio configuration, and project management software.
  • Experience in conducting inspections, audits, and quality assurance/control activities in an audiovisual context, ensuring adherence to all operational standards.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to perform site visits and inspections on active construction sites, including the use of ladders and scaffolding.
  • Experience in fostering a diverse environment or a commitment to promoting diversity within the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as Avixa CTS, PMI PMP, or Google Project Management.
  • Extensive experience in managing audiovisual projects or programs in a comparable environment.
  • Familiarity with emerging audiovisual technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience in vendor management, procurement, and contract review.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs for audiovisual personnel.
  • Proven ability to encourage innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a team or organization.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
