Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnering with a general contractor that specializes in construction projects, providing energy efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure modernization of facilities in various industry sectors. They are seeking a Senior Level Accounting Consultant to join their team on a 5+ month contract basis. This senior level accounting role is ideal for CPA professionals with extensive audit and technical accounting experience. You will work closely with our client's accounting team, reconciling accounting transactions and balances, reviewing financial statements, working with multiple entities, and preparing for audit, ensuring a smooth year-end audit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review financial statements and accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile accounting treatments.
  • Reconcile from GAAP back to pre-acquisition accounting basis.
  • Support clean-up of accounting records as necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of the year-end audit process.
  • Support integration and migration for accounting systems for newly acquired business units, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation required.
  • Strong audit background for both audit preparation and coordination during the audit.
  • Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills.
  • Expertise in reconciliations and financial statement reviews.
  • Proficient in learning and adapting to new ERP systems.
  • Experience in the construction industry (general contracting) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
