The Opportunity

This position is within our Infectious Disease business unit, located at multiple sites within the Scarborough QMS. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for providing process/quality engineering support to manufacturing teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality products to customers. You will also provide support to product development teams, helping to ensure the development of high-quality new products at the Westbrook Site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reduce and control manufacturing process defects by leading efforts/teams focused on identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Implement product stops and document release criteria as needed.
  • Develop and implement product quality plans, specifications, risk analyses, and FMEAs in collaboration with product development team members.
  • Identify critical process steps that could lead to manufacturing defects and devise methods to reduce process variation and eliminate defects.
  • Gather and analyze quality metric data to support product/process improvement efforts and enhance product design and development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in process/quality engineering.
  • Extensive application of technical principles, practices, and procedures.
  • A strong understanding of business unit functions and cross-group dependencies/relationships.
  • The ability to perform tasks within a quality system environment and exercise judgment in selecting innovative solutions to problems.
